Hard-Boiled Eggs in the Air-Fryer: Here’s How

Eggs are not vegan, but neither am I, and this plant eater enjoys organic eggs from time to time. If that is your case, too, here is a time saver for every busy egg-loving air fryer owner: don’t boil them. Air-fry your eggs instead. There’s no need to egg-sit or adjust the temperature, and the outcome is predictable. And now’s the time to go take a shower or browse Instagram — instead of literally watching the water boil.

For pretty much foolproof hard-boiled eggs, this is what I do: I put 4 to 6 large organic eggs in the air fryer basket without preheating, and air-fry for 12 minutes at 300 Fahrenheit or 150 Celsius. (If those are not available, use the closest available setting and experiment with timing).

I let the eggs sit in the air fryer basket until they cool down, after which I rinse with very cold water, about 45 seconds each. This way, the shell comes off easily, and best of all, there is no need to egg-watch. For slightly softer eggs like in this picture, try 10 or a touch more, according to your liking.

Now find some cool veggies or a salad to eat them with, or leave them in the fridge for protein snacks, and enjoy your day that now has ten more minutes —and egg-snacks.
